G&R Grocery, Inc.
(G&R IGA) was founded in 1976 by Gene Cutlip and Randy McCoy. When
the local
A&P grocery store decided to close, Gene and Randy,
both employed by A & P at the time, jumped at the opportunity to
purchase the store. We operated at this location until 1985 when a fire
completely destroyed the store. A new store was built one year later and
this is where we are located today.
The store is now owned and
operated by the father and son team of Randy and Tim McCoy.
G&R IGA employs 25 people, including 10 full time and 15 part time
employees.
Our operating hours are Monday thru Saturday 8:00am to
8:00pm, Sunday 10:00am till 6:00pm. We offer numerous customer service
options such as fax services, utility bill payment collection center
for West Virginia American Water, Frontier Communications,
Mountaineer Gas and Nextel Communications, postage stamps and calling
cards. We have a full service deli, meat shop, produce dept., and top
notch dairy and frozen foods departments. We also offer free carry out
services and local home delivery.
G& R IGA is very involved in our community and local charities. We are a proud sponsor of the Webster County Woodchopping Festival, as featured on ESPN and ESPN2, as well as the Webster Wildwater Weekend.
